STEVEN J. QUINN

A native of Kansas City, Missouri, Mr. Quinn obtained his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia in 1980 and was awarded his Juris Doctor from that university in 1983. Upon graduation, Mr. Quinn joined the firm of Sherman, Wickens, Lysaught & Speck, P.C. in Kansas City, Missouri, where he practiced extensively in the defense of products liability litigation and handled all aspects of workers' compensation defense files. Mr. Quinn joined the firm of Merrick, Baker, Fox, Hufft & Strauss, P.C. in 1988, where he continued to engage in those disciplines. Since the formation of FOX, STRETZ & QUINN, P.C., Mr. Quinn has continued representation of defense interests in workers' compensation litigation. Mr. Quinn has served as both the chair and the vice-chair of the Kansas City Metropolitan Bar Association Workers' Compensation Committee on several occasions. He is also the Chair of the Missouri Organization of Defense Lawyers (MODL) Workers' Compensation Legislative Committee. He has lectured and written frequently in the area of workers' compensation law. Mr. Quinn is admitted to practice before all Missouri and Kansas State Courts, as well as the United States District Courts for the District of Kansas and the Western District of Missouri, and the Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals.
